Dan Ngerem is the Founder and Chairman of Hensen Trust Group, a leading service provider in the Nigerian Oil and Gas sector.
Dan Ngerem’s journey to becoming one of the foremost entrepreneurs in Nigeria is as expansive as his academic journey. After finishing his secondary education at Government College, Umuahia, he enrolled in the prestigious University of Jos where he bagged a B.Sc in Economics.
Following his graduation, Dan Ngerem proceeded to work in First Bank of Nigeria as a banker, where he learned the intricacies of the financial sector while working and building his CV.
In a bid to increase his knowledge in the financial sector, Dan sought admission in the prestigious University of Ibadan and added an M.Sc in Banking and Finance in 1998 to his ever-growing certificate.
That same year, Dan made the switch from First Bank of Nigeria to Lead Merchant Bank, and after a two-year spell in the company, his full takeover of various sectors in Nigeria bagan.
Dan Ngerem began by dipping his toes in the booming Oil and Gas sector by founding Hensen Trust Group; a company that focuses on field services in the industry, as well as providing other services like Power Generation, Fire Protection, Property Investments, Sports Media & TV/Radio Broadcast Properties Rights, Safety and Environmental Services, etc.
As a man of great repute in both the financial and oil and gas industries, it came as no surprise when he was appointed the Vice President of the Confederation of African Athletics Foundation in 2004, after years of consistent success and honours in the sports industry.
Dan Ngerem is an MBA holder in sports management from Ytautas Magnus University, Lithuania, and the Chairman and founder of the Dan Ngerem Sports Foundation. He is also a member of the Nigerian Economic Society, Nigeria Institute of International Affairs, Institute of Directors, and on the board of various companies both in and out of Nigeria.
