What is Family Feud?
Family Feud Nigeria is a television game show in which two families compete to name the most popular answers to survey questions in order to win cash and prizes. Airing weekly on DSTV/GOTV and several Nigerian TV stations too.
What are the cash prizes to be won on Family Feud?
Cash prizes can be won in these three different categories:
THE TV SHOW PRIZE: Each family who makes it past the auditions and gets to the live TV show stands a chance to walk away with at least N2,500,000 if they win the Fast Money round. However, if the family fails to win the Fast Money round, the cash prize won will be determined by the number of points the family accumulates during the game. The losing family is awarded N250 for each point they answer correctly, while the family that won but failed to get 200 or more points during fast money will be awards N500 for each point they got correct.
THE HOME PLAY PRIZE: Viewers who watch the show from home on TV can also win cash prizes by answering the Home Quiz question. The home quiz question will be displayed during the weekly TV show for viewers to answer and the twenty (20) viewers who answer correctly by providing the most popular answer after the TV show airs and the next show will be randomly selected to win N20, 000 each. Every week the 20 randomly selected viewers with the most popular answers will be displayed on the Family Feud Web site and announced as winners. Viewers can play multiple times by sending the most popular answer and stand a higher chance of winning.
THE FAMILY FEUD DIGITAL GAME:Is for everyone to play on their mobile devices during weekdays and anyone with an MTN line can subscribe for the game by sending DFF to 205 and they will get 2 Family Feud questions to answer and earn points. The 10 players with the highest points each weekday – Monday to Friday win N10,000 each. And the player with the highest points at the end of the week will in addition win N50,000 and a chance to audition with His/her family to participate in the TV game show too.
How much is the Family Feud service?
Family Feud has the following services and prices:
1. Contestant registration is charged at N100 per entry,
2. Home quiz answer is charged at N50 per answer,
3. Family Feud digital game is charged at N50 for 2 questions and N100 for 4 questions.
4. Additional questions can be bought for N50 for 2 more questions. By sending ADD to 205.
Who can participate in Family Feud Nigeria?
Anyone with an MTN line can participate in Family Feud either as a contestant with his family, relations, or friends and also play the Home Quiz and the daily Digital game every weekday.
How can I participate/ subscribe/ register?
Anyone with an MTN line can register as a contestant and also participate in the Home Quiz (by sending FFH to 205 or answering when the TV show is broadcast by sending FFH space which ever letter represents the correct answer) and also subscribe to the Digital Game by sending DFF cost N50 or WFF cost N100 to 205 from an MTN line.
How do I know that I was successfully registered? Subscribed?
Prospective Contestants who send the appropriate keyword to the designated shortcode will receive a confirmatory SMS and a link to the contestant family registration portal and after they finish filling all the required information, they will receive an on-screen confirmation.
What are the different categories of the service?
The different categories of Family Feud Nigeria are as follows:
Contestant Registration,
Home Quiz, and
Family Feud Digital Game.
How do I play for the different categories?
Each service category of Family Feud Nigeria requires a different keyword to be sent to the appropriate shortcode (205) to play, the following Keywords are to be used to play the respective category:
FF to 205 for Contestant Registration
FFH to 205 with the correct answer for Home quiz, and
DFF or WFF to 205 to subscribe to play the daily game.
How do I register to be on the Family Feud TV show?
In order to register to be a contestant family on the Family Feud Nigeria show, you simply send the keyword “FF” to the shortcode “205” and an SMS with a link to the registration portal will be sent to your MTN Line. Simply click on the link to access the registration portal and complete the requested details in order to register your family for the show auditions.
How do I know if I am selected to be part of the show?
If you are selected for the Family auditions of Family Feud Nigeria, you will be called within 7 days of your successful registration by the production team of FF Nigeria. If you do not receive a call-back after 7 days it means you were unsuccessful and you can try again.
How many times can I play (daily, monthly, on-demand) on the Family feud SMS game or the Home quiz?
You can play the home quiz and FF Digital Game multiple times with the following limitations:
1. Home Quiz is open from when the question is revealed during the TV show and entries are valid through to 12midnight of the last day of the display week. Viewers can send as many entries as they believe is correct in order to be among the 20 randomly selected viewers to get the most popular answer to the question.
2. The Family Feud Digital Game is a subscription based trivia that is open to players every weekday from 0.00am till 12midnight, 10 winners will be selected each day based on players with the highest points gained from answering the questions will win N10,000 each.
3. Lastly you can register for the family audition (which is an on-demand service) multiple times during any week to increase your chances of being invited.
When will the draws for the home quiz take place?
The winners of the Home Quiz will be selected before the first episode for the next week. The selection will be random and will select 20 players with the correct answer. These winners will be announced during the weekly TV show every wee before the weekly Home quiz question for the current week is revealed.
How will I know that I have won? And When do I collect/ receive my prize?
Winners of both Home Quiz and the FF Digital Game will be contacted by the FFNigeria production team within 7 working days of their winning to provide confirmation and payment details and are expected to be paid within 14 working days after they have been contacted and notified as winners if they provide the required payment details within that time, otherwise they will be paid within 14 working days after such winners provide payment details.
How do I receive my prize?
Prizes will be paid via bank transfers and winners will be expected to have or to open bank accounts to facilitate the transfer of their winnings. Prizes will only be transferred to accounts bearing the names of the winner.
What do I do if I have a complaint or a concern regarding any service relating to Family Feud Nigeria?

How can I stop this service/ opt- out/ unsubscribe?
You can stop any of the Family Feud services by sending STOP DFF or STOP WFF to 205.
Who produces Family Feud for Nigeria?
Family Feud is produced by Ultima Studios, producers of Lions' Den, 13 seasons of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and 9 seasons of Project Fame West Africa among many other TV reality shows.
How do I apply to participate in Family Feud?
Send a text with the keyword FF to 205 from an MTN line. Each text will be billed N100 and you will receive a reply with a link to the registration portal. You can also call 205 from an MTN line and follow the prompts. Lastly, you can also dial *205# and select the “Register” option and provide other required details.
How many people do I need to play on Family Feud?
You must have a team made up of 5 family members either made up of blood relatives, married relatives, friends, school mates, neighbours or work colleagues.
Do I have to submit an audition video?
Audition videos are highly recommended but not mandatory. If you are unable to include a video, then try to include as much information as possible along with photos of your family members.
What should we do in our video?
The main goal here is for your family to stand out! Begin by introducing your family and have each family member introduce themselves. Also, tell us where you are from. Tell us something interesting or unique about yourself. Talk about your occupation, your hobbies, or anything that you think is relevant! And remember to speak up! You could also play a mock round of the game. Watch a sample video on You Tube of the Family Feud game to help you see how to do this. The important thing is to show us how energetic and enthusiastic you are. Do your best to show us why your family would be great on Family Feud!
How long should our video be?
Aim for your video to be 3-5 minutes long.
What are the producers looking for?
We are looking for families who are energetic, enthusiastic and have the ability to play the game!
How do I prepare to answer Family Feud questions?
You don't have to feel nervous about answering questions on the show. However, we recommend that you prepare for appearing on the show by watching previous episodes of the Family Feud franchise.
What happens next after I apply and register?
The production Team from Family Feud Nigeria will call you to get to know you better and see the possibly of scheduling you for a family audition.
How will we know if we have been chosen?
We will contact you and schedule your family for a shoot date.
Are aged relatives eligible?
Relatives who are aged are eligible to compete with their families, but they must be physically fit and healthy.
