Our Story
A 40-Year Journey Into the Future of African Storytelling
For three decades, Ultima Studios has been a quiet but powerful force in Nigeria’s media landscape.
What began almost 40 years ago as a satellite dish manufacturing and installation company evolved into something much bigger: a creative powerhouse that helped shape modern Nigerian television.
At a time when broadcast television was still finding its identity in the country, Ultima positioned itself at the intersection of technology, storytelling, and entertainment. That spirit of innovation allowed the company to steadily grow into a full media enterprise spanning television production, radio broadcasting, and music entertainment.
Over the years, Ultima Studios has become synonymous with high-quality television programming, particularly in the world of game shows, quiz formats, and reality entertainment.
Through strategic partnerships with global format distributors and major Nigerian brands, Ultima has successfully produced and delivered shows that entertain millions of viewers across the country.
Beyond television, Ultima expanded its footprint into radio broadcasting through UFM, and into music and artist development through U-Records and Entertainment.
Across these platforms, the company has played a significant role in educating audiences, discovering talent, and entertaining millions of Nigerians.
